LEARNER'S GUIDE TO CATIA
Category:
Technical Computing – CATIA
Introduction:
CATIA is an acronym for Computer Aided Three Dimensional Interactive Application. It is a CAD Software package, developed by Dassault System. CATIA describes the modeling software as a
“Fully integrated” development interface for solid and surface modeling, and also for Engineering Analysis and Manufacturing. Its unique Product/Process/Resources model and workplace approach provide a truly collaborative environment that fosters creativity, sharing, and communication of 3D product and process-centric definitions.
Objective:
The objective is to provide a platform for the participants to familiarize themselves with CATIA V5
environment. Thereafter, the participants can utilize CATIA V5 fundamental knowledge to sketch, design and assemble engineering parts and product. Participants will then realized that CATIA is an integrated suite of software applications covering all aspects of product design: Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM).
Pre-requisites:
Candidate must have experience with basic computer operations. This course is applicable to both beginners and those without any CAD experience.
