EON Server allows customers to configure and compare products from 3D
interactive catalogs to make an educated selection. The user can with a click of
a mouse insert a product of their choice into a room and explore it in different
layouts. This functionality can be used in applications for planning an office, a
factory environment, a home or even a kitchen. Products or components are
streamed over the Internet, with extremely small file size and full interactivity attached to each object.
Features
EON Dynamic Load allows for dynamically loading and unloading of EON objects over the Internet into a 3D environment such as a showroom. The virtual products are located in a repository of objects on a web server allowing for easy access. An EON object can contain all aspects of EON features including 3D models, behavior, textures, interactivity, audio, video etc. Dynamic Load takes advantage of existing features within EON Studio that allows for compact file size and fast distribution. This approach allows end users to browse through a product catalog walking through the showroom getting detailed information about the products and actually see how the products work and interact with them. In addition, the initial download size/time is kept very small allowing users to start interacting instantaneously.
EON Track™ is part of the EON Server solution and provides users the ability to track user interaction in an
EON Application and store the information in a database. Database information can also be accessed from e.g.
external PDM systems. The EON Track database can be accessed via a web interface in order to get up-todate
information anytime. Tracked events are set up using the GUI of EON Studio. Key benefits for EON Track
are found within sales enhancement applications where statistical marketing data is gathered for examination
or within training and MRO where critical data is logged for assessment purposes.
