Objective:
This hands-on course introducing participants to the application-oriented world of adaptive signal processing. Important and useful concepts on adaptive filtering are introduced, before showing the applications and implementation aspects. Participants have many opportunities to practice and understand the details of adaptive signal processing using the highly interactive tools of MATLAB and Simulink. In addition, practical implementations of adaptive filter using the state-of-the-art DSP processors is explained and demonstrated.

3. Applications using Adaptive Signal Processing

. Adaptive System Identification (examples on echo cancellation)
. Adaptive Inversed System Identification for channel equalization
. Adaptive Noise Cancellation for speech communication
. Adaptive Linear Predictor for hum removal
. Active Noise Control (ANC) and more in-depth implementations issues
. Adaptive Beamforming in radar applications

4. Practical Implementations and Issues

. Finite-precision effects with hands-on examples
